Two students who were killed in the weekend's tragic incident at Brown University had tributes paid to them on Monday – amid a widespread hunt for their assailant continued following the freeing by Rhode Island officials of the only individual detained in connection in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a sophomore from Alabama, was called “a wonderful, steady, devout, shining presence”, per the Advent Cathedral in Birmingham, which paid tribute to her at a service on Sunday.
